Game Server Rules

All punishments are IP-based. If an account on your IP address is muted or banned, all other accounts on your IP address will be blocked from sending chat messages or joining the game server. If you do not recognise an account on your IP address that has a punishment, create an appeal explaining the situation.

Spam
Punishment: 3-Hour Mute | 1-Day Mute | 3-Day Mute | Permanent Mute
Posting comments in the chat purely to disrupt and spam it is considered spam. Things that come under this offence include, but are not limited to, posting song lyrics, posting 3+ similar messages within a short space of time, and posting 5+ similar messages in a longer period of time.

Inappropriate Content
Punishment: 6-Hour Mute | 1-Day Mute | 3-Day Mute | Permanent Mute
Gross content covers any language and content that is not appropriate for most types of audiences. Lightly inappropriate references and content are allowed, but grossly inappropriate references and content are not. ‘Gross’ refers to any inappropriate references and content that provide too many details. We cannot make a list of everything that is and is not allowed, so you will have to apply this rule to most cases and use common sense.

Light Advertising
Punishment: 3-Hour Mute | 1-Day Mute | 3-Day Mute | Permanent Mute
Name dropping competing servers, posting links to unrelated content, posting unsafe links such as https://bit.ly/, etc. is considered light advertising. Posting server IPs and attempting to take players away from the server does not come under this category.

Suicidal Remarks
Punishment: 1-Day Mute | 7-Day Mute | Permanent Mute
Making any jokes or references regarding suicide are included in this rule, regardless of whether it was said to a friend or an unrelated user.

Discrimination
Punishment: 3-Day Mute | 7-Day Mute | Permanent Mute
This rule includes but is not limited to racial and homophobic slurs or language that is used to disrespect groups of a certain ethnicity, gender, etc.

Advertising
Punishment: Permanent Mute
Directly advertising another server by posting any relating links to it in chat. This includes, but not limited to, a server’s IP address, website address, Discord server link.

Command Abuse
Punishment: 1-Day Ban | 7-Day Ban | 14-Day Ban | Permanent Ban
Using commands that you have access to for purposes they were not intended for.

Mute Evasion
Punishment: 1-Day Ban | 7-Day Ban | 14-Day Ban | Permanent Ban
Evading a mute punishment by attempting to communicate with other players in-game by using signs, renaming a gang, changing nicknames, etc.

Inappropriate Gameplay
Punishment: 2-Day Ban | 3-Day Ban | 7-Day Ban | Permanent Ban
Building any inappropriate structures on your island or elsewhere on the server. Staff members will be able to check the block history for a certain location, so no "evidence" is required when reporting this, only the location of the build.

Feature Abuse
Punishment: 3-Hour Ban | 3-Day Ban | 7-Day Ban | Permanent Ban
This consists of things that are an intentional feature, but are being used in a way that is not intended.

Griefing
Punishment: 7-Day Ban | 14-Day Ban | Permanent Ban
Griefing a player means to steal or break someone else's belongings. This can be things such as stealing valuable items from someone's chests or breaking their builds.

Duping
Punishment: Permanent Ban
Under no circumstances, are players allowed to dupe anything. If a dupe has been found, report it directly to an admin's DM's in either the Forums or Discord.

Ban Evasion
Punishment: Double Original Ban Length | Permanent IP Ban
Evading a ban punishment by connecting to the network while banned in any possible way.

Bug Abuse
Punishment: 3-Day Ban | 14-Day Ban | Permanent Mute
When a bug is found, it is the player’s responsibility to report the bug to a member of staff. Using the bug to your advantage to either, give you a competitive advantage or for fun falls under this rule.

Scamming
Punishment: 7-Day Ban | 14-Day Ban | Permanent Ban
Making a deal and going through with a deal only to back out, putting someone else at a loss. Going through with a deal refers to when one party holds up its end of the deal. If at this point the other party doesn’t want to continue, the party holding up their end of the deal must be fully reimbursed (when possible). If it is not possible to reimburse the party, the deal must be followed through. I.e. cash can be reimbursed, but building cannot.

IRL/Cross-Server Trading
Punishment: 1-Day Ban | 3-Day Ban | Permanent Ban
Trading in-game items for real-life items, such as money, or items on other servers. Trading in-game items for the server’s store packages is allowed.

Unfair Advantage
Punishment: 28-Day Ban | Permanent Ban
The use of a hacked client, with or without any cheats activated, any blacklisted modification, or any approved modification which does not abide by its relative restrictions.

Inappropriate IGNs/Skins
Punishment: Permanent Ban until Changed | Permanent Ban
Having an IGN that breaks any chat rules or a skin that has inappropriate images or words.

VPN Usage
Punishment: Permanent Ban
Using a VPN is not allowed. All players must connect using their actual IP address.

DDoS/IP Grabbing
Punishment: Blacklist
Attempting to DDoS a player on the network. Attempting to grab a player’s IP by any means falls under this offence.

Releasing Personal Information
Punishment: Blacklist
Releasing personal information of another player or blackmailing someone with personal information, regardless of whether said “information” exists. Sending any personal information, with or without the person's permission, with no context to any player, including the player, is included in this offence.
